To ensure a seamless cleaning service, please read our detailed cleaning policy.
Any / All Payments made acknowledges acceptance of our policy and terms.
Cleaning Supplies and Equipment
Everybody Knows Jane, LLC provides all cleaning supplies and equipment. If you have a preferred cleaning item, please notify us and provide the supply to be used on the day of service. We are not held liable for any damage caused by cleaning products provided by the customer.
Cleaning Service Appointment
Please note cleaning arrival time is an estimate as each client’s home is unique. The time provided for arrival has a 30 minute grace period either before that time or after. Example if scheduled at 11:30 AM, please be available for arrival of the team either by 11:00 AM or 12:00 PM. If we are outside of the grace period, we will notify you.
Cancellation/Rescheduling
Must be made within 1 service of final service: Bi-weekly (2 weeks), Monthly (30 days), Weekly (7 days). If customer cancels service in a time less than, they will be subject to forfeiture of deposit. Cancellations made in less time with no fee can only be made or approved by office.
Rescheduling: Flat Rate Customers / Going on Vacation/ Holiday break: Please notify us if you are a scheduled client and anticipate skipping a session. The earlier notice, the better we can reschedule or skip your service date to prevent a service fee add on. Please note you cannot skip two consecutive services. Cleanings missed during vacation for extended service may be charged $25 per missed cleaning or a new initial cleaning price pending length of missed cleaning service to rescheduled service.
If upon arrival of a scheduled cleaning, we cannot get in to home. There will be a ($25) fee to cover expenses.
Sick Policy
If you are sick, please notify us immediately to cancel appointment for safety of staff. Deposits will be transferrable once for any illness or emergencies. If a cleaning technician scheduled for your home is sick or has an emergency, and we are unable to provide adequate staffing for your home, we will reschedule the service date with transfer of your deposit.
Inclement Weather:
We reserve the right to cancel service or reschedule in the event of bad weather. We will notify you of cancellation through text, call, or our website.
Service Payment:
We appreciate full payment of balance on the day of service. You may pay with Cash or Credit Card. If must wait for payment outside of normal time frame (72 hours), customer will be billed late fee.
Everybody Knows Jane, LLC reserves the right to draft any check/credit (account) you have on file with us for any and all outstanding balances not paid after service completion or termination. The Customer is responsible for all fees incurred while attempting to collect this fee. (Processing, court cost, filing, mailing, etc.) NSF Check Processing Policy: In the event that your check is returned unpaid or for insufficient funds or uncollected funds, we may electronically debit your account for the principal amount of the check. We may also generate a draft to debit your account for the service fee of $25.00 as allowed by law. We reserve the right to debit any check or credit card on file to retrieve unpaid services within 3 days after services rendered, unless other written arrangements were made. Please call our office at least one business day in advance to schedule your additional needs.
Online Payments:
All online payments are subject to a Processing Fee. Fee varies on price of service. Processing Fees are not refundable on all purchases.
Customer Service:
Upon completion of services: Did we miss something? Let us fix it! We offer a 24-hour guarantee. Give us a call within 24 hours of service, and we will come back and re-clean the area of concern at no additional charge. Please send us any pictures of any areas of concern.
OSHA & Employee Safety Policy:
Everybody Knows Jane, LLC reserves the right to terminate a service if home environment is deemed unsafe. If biohazard material, pesticide or rodent manifestation, hoarding, mold, dangerous animals, etc. The client will be contacted and there will be a 50% cancellation fee. If someone in your home is receiving medication through injections, please inform us immediately. Due to OSHA regulations, special precautions must be taken for your own protection as well.
Security Alarms:
If your home is equipped with a security system, please ensure that it is in an “off” unarmed position, prior to our arrival.
Day of Cleaning Service:
Day of Service:
It is not required for the homeowner to be at home during the day of service. Please provide us entry & exit instructions to your home prior to your cleaning service appointment. We are licensed, bonded, and insured.
Length of Service:
For initial deep cleaning service, plan on anywhere between 3-6 hours depending on the size of your home and cleaning requirements. Deep cleaning estimates are based on information provided via our virtual intake form and may increase pending final arrival at the house. It is important that you disclose during virtual consultation as many details (and/or pictures) as possible to receive accurate estimates. If the home is noted to need more labor time than quoted when we arrive to the home, the client will be notified of additional charges required.
Products Utilized:
Everybody Knows Jane, LLC is not responsible for damages when using cleaning supplies/products requested by client. Everybody Knows Jane, LLC reserves the right to subcontract out work on additional services.
Please note that we use a small amount of disinfectant and a wet mop to mop all floor surfaces. If this is not your preference, please inform us and provide the cleaning solution of your choice. We will be happy to accommodate you. Your consent to proceed with our products is noted, if an alternative cleaning solution is not provided.
Move In/Move Out Cleaning:
It is required that your home has running water and working electric outlets upon arrival to cleaning. If this is not available, the payment of 50% will be immediately forfeited and the cleaning will be rescheduled with full amount owed as originally quoted. We do not discard any items left in the home. Home should be completely empty and it is the responsibility of the client to discard any trash from their home. We will clean the entire house as scheduled. Evident “trash” (ex. Hair, debris, toilet tissue) will be discarded, but any items left in drawers, cabinets, closets, fridge, etc. will be left and at the discretion of the client to discard. If you would like to include trash removal services, please contact us to add this service for an additional charge with consent for us to not have any liabilities for discarding those items.
Parking & Entry:
Please provide detailed parking instructions for our team and/or gate entry/ door code prior to cleaning appointment. Any paid parking incurred by our team members will be the responsibility of the client, and the charge will be added to the balance of cleaning. If there is an apartment complex or condo name, please provide all details with your cleaning quote request.
Home Security:
We do not take responsibility for homes left unlocked at customers’ request upon completion of service. We will not answer any doors or phones without written permission from the owner.
Pet Policy:
We are a pet friendly cleaning service. To ensure your pets are safe and out of the cleaners’ way, please identify a safe location (crate, backyard) to keep them during your cleaning session. If a cleaner leaves your home prior to completion, Everybody Knows Jane, LLC will charge you a pro-rated expense based on work performed. If removal of our cleaning technician is due to aggressive pets, our cancellation policy will apply. Everybody Knows Jane, LLC will not be held responsible for any pets that escape from the home while our cleaning professionals are working.
Furniture:
Due to safety and liability, Everybody Knows Jane, LLC does not move or lift heavy items or furniture. Our cleaning technicians should not be asked to move or lift heavy items or furniture.
Laundry Services:
Everybody Knows Jane, LLC is not responsible for damage done to clothes on any laundry services rendered.
Valuables:
To avoid accidents, it would be helpful if you put away any valuables, collectibles, heirlooms, etc. We reserve the right to not touch a sentimental or antique value item, unless advised by the client. Although we are insured, accidents still do occur. If an item is broken upon arrival, or if we break/damage an item, the client will be notified immediately and reimbursement arrangements will be coordinated. If we do not hear from you within the next 30 days after being notified, we will assume you do not want to have us resolve the issue and the situation will void.
After Hours:
After hours rates/weekend hours are slightly higher than our regular rate. If you would like a weekend service, please contact us to schedule.
Gift Certificates:
Can be used up to 6 months from date of purchase.
Social Media:
At times, we take before and after photos of our work for social media. We do not take pictures of any personal identifiers of home (i.e. address number, photos, etc). Please let us know if you do not consent to photo release.
Everybody Knows Jane Cleaning Technician Policy:
Everybody Knows Jane, LLC invests greatly in procurement to train and provide quality cleaning technicians. Any exchange of contact information to our cleaning technicians will be considered a breach. Any hiring of our current, ex-cleaners, and/or accepting side propositions will hold you liable for an employment referral fee of $1,000.00 by any client who directly employs a team member within the two year period prior to such employment. By agreeing to use our service, you agree to notify us of any attempts to solicit or accept illegal business, otherwise; attorney, legal, and any expenses related to investigate and/or collect this fee will be added. By accepting any cleaning service, you acknowledge being informed about our policy with hiring of our cleaning technicians. You acknowledge being informed that we are obligated to report illegal hiring activities and any information withheld in regards to hiring our cleaning technicians is illegal and is prosecutable by Everybody Knows Jane, LLC.
